Jordan Health Services has participated in the Relay For Life of Franklin County for the past 6 years. This past May, the Jordan team exceeded their goal of $10,000! Employees donated their time for several months raising funds to help the fight against cancer. The employees raised over $5,000 on their own and the company matched the $5,000 to help them exceed their goal of the $10,000. Team t-shirts were designed by the team members and worn proudly throughout the event. One of the employees favorite fundraiser goes on year around is the $5.00 jean day on Wednesday's! Preparations for the 2013 Relay For Life Team are underway and always looking for more participants and ideas! Relay For Life is the trademark fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The funds raised thru this event are used for research and patient resources. With the funds that are raised patients can seek help thru ACS for various items. Programs such as Road to Recovery, Look Good Feel Better, ACS CAN (Cancer Action Network) are available for patients. Road to Recovery offers rides to and from treatment, gas cards, etc. Look Good Feel Better offers women wigs, and special makeup that won't irritate the skin while in treatments. The program is exactly what it says - gives them a way to feel better by looking better. ACS Can is political network where you are able to voice your concerns and be apart of the fight for cancer research funds in Washington.
