This job entails travel to the surrounding rural areas outside San Antonio including Kerville, Hondo, Devine Castroville, Seguin, New Braunfels, Jourdanton, Poteet, Floresville, Von Ormy, La Vernia St. Hedwig and other areas approximately 1 hour away from San Antonio.
The Physical Therapist (PT) provides physical therapy services to patients in the patient’s home. The PT supports all offices for issues related to physical therapy services. The PT is a coach and teacher to patients, family members and members of the patient’s care team on how to perform various exercises, use assistive equipment and follow the care plan. He/she maintains knowledge of current physical therapy trends, techniques and innovations. The PT analyzes/evaluates the physical therapy services provided to improve the quality of patient care. The PT performs all duties in accordance with physician’s orders and under the direction and supervision of the Director of Therapy Services.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy and currently licensed in the State of Texas as a Physical Therapist.
- Completion of a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
- Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid home health care benefits, rules and regulations preferred.
