Nothing is more important than your health or the health of your child. Jordan provides home care to medically fragile children ranging from birth to 21 years of age. Whether your child is recovering from an illness or is faced with long-term disability, Jordan offers specialized home healthcare services. In addition to nursing and therapy, your child could receive help with personal needs such as bathing, dressing, or feeding. We believe parents, siblings, and other family members contribute to a child’s medical stability and progress.
Who pays for my child’s home care?
Many parents choose to care for their child in their own home setting. Several programs are available through the State of Texas to support families and their children with medical needs. If you have private insurance, you will be informed during the first visit what charges, if any, you will be responsible for.
What is available for my child?
An evaluation of your child’s individual medical needs will be used to determine home care needed. In addition to clinical services, we can also arrange for specialized equipment, modifications to your home, or someone who can care for your child to provide support to you. In some instances a provider (also called a personal care attendant) may be approved to provide help with feeding, preparing meals, escorting you and your child to the doctor, and helping with your child’s personal care.
Does the State of Texas pay for any children services?
In many instances the state pays for in-home services if your child receives Medicaid assistance or if you meet certain financial income requirements. Jordan has contracts for most Texas Medicaid state programs.
