Corporate Compliance
Jordan Health Services maintains an internal, voluntary corporate compliance program
to ensure the organization meets regulatory standards established by the State of
Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services (DADS), the Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid (CMS), the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), the Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as other local, state, and federal regulatory bodies.
All Division locations are licensed by the DADS Home & Community Support Services Agency (HCSSA).
In addition, the Community Care & Pediatric Division locations are contracted and regulated
by the DADS Community Care Program guidelines. All Divisions are surveyed by DADS on an
ongoing, routine basis.
All employees receive training on Jordan’s Corporate Compliance Program in an effort to increase
awareness of every individual’s responsibility and role associated in regulatory compliance.
These include, but are not limited to, the reporting of violations with the Company’s written
policies and/or regulatory standards. The Company maintains an ‘open disclosure’ philosophy to
encourage individuals to report perceived or actual regulatory violations without fear of retribution.
Reports of actual or potential violations are investigated and actions are taken to ensure Jordan
remains in compliance with regulations.
Susan Stell, RN, CHC, is the Chief Compliance Officer. She is certified in healthcare compliance and
is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). Other members of the team include a variety
of licensed professionals who are experts within the Medicare and Medicaid arena, as well as access to
healthcare attorney(s) for advice and consent.
